People, locations, projects

The schedule pulls from four core lookups. Keep them tidy and the schedule stays tidy.

People management page

People

The team roster. Each person can have:

  • A role (UAVP, GCSO, WSO, UAV MX, Support, etc.)
  • One or more skills (Instructor, PPF, SOPS, T&E, Trainee)
  • A type rating (MK1, MK2)
  • A colour, assigned randomly when created (used on their pill in the schedule)
  • An optional linked user account

Locations

Sites where assignments take place. Each location has:

  • A name
  • An address (used for copy-to-clipboard and directions in assignment details)

Projects

The projects that assignments belong to (e.g. WFP – Madagascar). Projects have a colour that drives the pill colour on the schedule.

Accommodations

Where people stay during an assignment. Same shape as locations: name + address.

Best practice

  • Create these before creating assignments — the assignment dialog picks from them.
  • Keep names consistent (e.g. always "WFP – Madagascar", not sometimes "WFP Madagascar").
  • Deactivate rather than delete when someone leaves the team, to preserve historical assignments.
